Troy A. Miller, NRB president & CEO, joined Jenna Ellis on her American Family Radio show to discuss the “State of Christian Media” study NRB conducted with the Barna Group, highlighting why Christians need to be engaged in media by contributing content coming from a biblical, faith-based worldview.
“Sixty percent of Americans—that’s general population, not just Christians—tunes into some form of Christian media on a regular basis,” Miller said. “Our call is to go shine the light in the darkness. So, if we give up these new emerging platforms to that darkness, then where are these young people going to find that hope?”

On the Alex McFarland’s show, Miller spoke about how Christians can make a difference in today’s hostile culture, pointing to NRB’s long history of advocating for Christian communicators.
“We live in a time where a lot of people are looking for answers,” Miller said. “They’re looking for truth. They’re looking for purpose in their lives… and they’re rejecting what they’re getting from the secular sources… It’s so important for us to be out there helping these young individuals speak the truth into this culture.”

Miller also joined McFarland on “The Hamilton Corner” to discuss the recent study with the Barna Group, NRB’s policy work of NRB to fight for AM radio, and NRB’s stance on the recent funding cuts to public broadcasting. He discussed how public broadcasting has long benefited from taxpayer dollars while excluding many voices, especially faith-based and conservative perspectives.
“We want to see a level playing field,” Miller said. “If you’re going to get government funds, then represent all of the people in your public interest programming, not just one small ideology, one small set of philosophies or opinions in this country.”
