America at 250

As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, NRB is calling broadcasters, media leaders, and ministries to step forward and pledge to lead this national moment of rededicating our country as One Nation Under God.

Why your voice matters in this moment

At a time when the nation is reflecting on its identity and future, Christian communicators are uniquely positioned to shape the conversation. NRB’s Freedom 250 initiative highlights the vital role of faith-based media in:

Giving thanks for God’s provision in our nation

Honoring the courage and sacrifice of those who founded and preserved it

Reaffirming the Christian principles that shaped our nation’s story

Elevating the role of faith in public life

The United States’ founders acknowledged to the world that our most fundamental liberties are gifts from God, not government. Our Nation’s 250th anniversary must not stop as a celebration of independence. It must also be a call back to the unmistakable Judeo-Christian values woven into its founding.

The Semiquincentennial reminds us that the United States was built on enduring biblical principles: liberty, human dignity, moral responsibility, and the sovereignty of God. NRB and its members are inspiring Christian communicators across the country to honor America’s faith heritage and stand boldly as “One Nation Under God.”

Freedom 250 is the national, non-partisan movement driving the celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday in 2026, partnering with the White House Task Force 250, federal agencies, and the America250 Commission, and organizations like NRB to deliver iconic events and nationwide engagement activities marking this once-in-a-generation milestone.

Faith & Freedom Pledge

As Christian communicators standing to honor the 250th Anniversary of our great nation which was founded upon the timeless truths derived from the Word of God that all men are created equal and that we are endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights,

We gratefully acknowledge the heroic courage and sacrificial actions over many decades that have made these ideals far more than mere concepts but a growing reality for all Americans,

And in concert with those earliest leaders who pledged their lives, their fortunes, and sacred honors, we too pledge before the God we love, serve, and follow, to commit ourselves to these truths in word and in action:

Z

We pledge to address the hard issues of our day and to love people enough to shepherd our audiences in God’s truth even when it is costly.

Z

We pledge to speak with courage, clarity, and conviction in a culture increasingly resistant to biblical truth.

Z

We pledge to affirm the primacy of the God’s Word to impact our lives, our culture, and our government, rather than allowing culture or government to diminish or dilute God’s truth.

Z

We pledge to affirm the centrality of the Gospel, first to reach every soul for Christ for eternity; but to also proclaim the impact of the Gospel as a public truth that shapes hearts, communities, and cultures.

Z

We pledge to confront apathetic and lukewarm leadership among those who proclaim the name of Christ, believing that bold leadership is essential for the Christian community and our nation.

Z

We pledge to avoid self-censorship believing that apathy, caution, and lukewarm leadership robs the power coming from the bold proclamation of the whole counsel of the Word of God.

To accomplish these purposes,

Z

We further pledge to stand together in the unity that is found in Christ Jesus, SO HELP US GOD!

As religious communicators, you give voice to the average person in the pew. Once you serve and strengthen their communities, it impacts every area of life.
