His achievements at Movieguide® to date include: releasing a top 50 iPhone app; building their website as a top destination and the number one in its market; building a powerful radio program aired nationally; and serving as executive producer for the nationally broadcast Movieguide® Awards. Prior to joining Movieguide® Robert worked in investment banking, and mergers & acquisitions for HSBC. He also spent time working for Motive Marketing (“The Passion of the Christ” and “Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe”) in grassroots marketing. He also worked with Disney National Promotions Group marketing “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Enchanted,” and “Underdog.” Robert owned and operated a top social network that he sold in 2009, and he has spent time with Urban Ministries, Inc. doing special projects for the CEO. Robert received his BA in History from Wheaton College in 2008. He did additional studies at the Chinese University in Hong Kong as well as at Oxford University in England.

Gene Bender, a graduate of the University of Texas with a degree in communications, is a long-time veteran of Christian radio.
He began his broadcast career helping launch Austin’s first Christian radio station. Over the years, Gene served several station ownerships and in 2014 acquired a new signal covering Austin and Central Texas, launching the Bridge Austin 1120 AM. In 2018 a second Austin signal was added at 101.1 FM. Gene has previously served the National Religious Broadcasters on the Radio Committee, Regional Chapter, and NRB Board of Directors. Gene and his wife, Gayle, live in Austin and have four married children and five grandchildren.

Debra began her career in television broadcasting by launching and managing KFCB TV 42 in the San Francisco market in 1982. There, she launched TLI’s Chicago-based Affiliate Network in 2000 and later became General Manager of TLI’s Northern California broadcast station. In 2016, Debra was named President/CEO of TLI. Throughout the years she has hosted several programs, including “The Counsel of Women,” “The Power of Womanhood,” and Emmy Award-winning “People Like You.” Under her direction, TLI has received several NRB awards including Television Station of the Year for six years. Debra has served several terms on the NRB Board of Directors. She is a team builder and considers it a blessing to be a member of the NRB Executive Committee since 2016 serving as Chair of multiple subcommittees. She and Jack have been married for 43 years and enjoy spending time with their daughters and sons-in-law whenever possible. Debra finds fulfillment in reaching people for Christ through visual media, standing for the Gospel, and working with like-minded ministries to further the Kingdom.
