NRB | May 27, 2021 | NRB News

Podcasts continue to grow in popularity, and some of the top Christian podcasters will be speaking at NRB 2021, June 21-24.

On Chartable’s list of top Apple podcasts in the United States categorized under “Christianity,” “The Bible Recap” hosted by Tara-Leigh Cobble and “Unashamed with Phil & Jase Robertson” are ranked number three and number four respectively. And “Tony Evans’ Sermons on Oneplace.com” is ranked number 22. All of these podcast hosts will be speaking at NRB 2021 next month.

The Bible Recap

“The Bible Recap,” ranked number three on this list, is a short daily podcast (about eight minutes long) hosted by Tara-Leigh Cobble. In its first 18 months, the podcast garnered 25 million downloads.

Cobble’s zeal for Biblical literacy led her to create D-Group (Discipleship Group), which has grown into an international network of 250+ Bible studies that meet every week in homes, churches, and online. She’s on her tenth time reading through the Bible chronologically, and each day on the podcast she highlights and summarizes that day’s Bible reading in a casual and easy to understand way. With this podcast, Cobble is on a mission to not only help you read scripture but really to help you love reading it.

“The Bible Recap” podcast is designed to accompany you in your Scripture reading plan. Each day, you read the assigned reading and then tune into the podcast as Cobble helps you understand what you just read and how it connects to the whole storyline of Scripture.

Cobble will be joining a panel of speakers at NRB 2021 for a workshop on how to build a podcast audience. Podcasting is an emerging medium that is witnessing explosive growth, but once you’ve launched a podcast, you still have to figure out how to find listeners and grow an audience. On this panel, Cobble will join other podcasters to share insights from the industry and her experiences in order to help you take your podcast to the next level.

“Unashamed” hosted by Phil Robertson and his sons Jase and Alan, is ranked number four on this list. Phil Robertson and his sons are unashamed of their Christian faith and want to share the gospel with everyone, from new believers to longtime followers of Jesus. On the podcast, they share fun and inspiring stories of faith and family, straight from West Monroe, Louisiana.

Phil Robertson is a professional hunter who invented his own duck call and founded the Duck Commander company. He starred in the popular A&E television series “Duck Dynasty” and is a New York Times best-selling author.

Jase Robertson who also starred on “Duck Dynasty” is passionate about Jesus, his family, duck hunting, and metal detecting. On the podcast and with audiences around the country, Jase shares the hope he has found in Christ.
