We’ve been anticipating NRB 2021 for a long time now. We began anticipating it even as we wrapped up NRB 2020 and before we had any idea how the COVID-19 pandemic would change our lives over the next year. We anticipated it as the pandemic continued on, despite uncertainties as to whether or not the event could take place. When we made the decision to move the event to June, we began to feel more hopeful in our anticipation again.
And now we’re just a few days away! Our team is on its way to Texas, and we’re so excited that you won’t be far behind us! We pray that this will be a fruitful time together as we prepare for another year of ministry.
We can’t wait to see you again, but until then, here’s what our team is most looking forward to about NRB 2021:
“I am so excited about this year’s NRB Convention. It will be great for Christian communicators to be together once again—especially after COVID—to think through ways that we can get the gospel to the nations through as many mediums as possible. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends. I’m looking forward to making new friends. I’m looking forward to seeing the amazing gospel work all of our members are doing.” — Dan Darling, Senior Vice President of Communications
“What a pleasure it is to work for an association that supports Christians and their work to spread the gospel message. I’m most looking forward to seeing people in person during NRB 2021—it’s been too long!” — Beth Wakefield, Director of Events
“I’m so excited to be connected and am looking forward to getting recharged after such a crazy year. Isolation has been tough for many people, and this convention will unite us in so many incredible ways as believers and followers of Christ.” — Carlton Capps, Event Sales Manager
“Over the past year, I’ve really missed the encouragement of spending time in person with friends and colleagues. This is my first NRB Convention, but I’m incredibly thankful for this community of likeminded Christian communicators who are working tirelessly to advance the gospel. By the end of the week, my bloodstream will probably be a mix of iced coffee and Dr. Pepper, and I’ll be ready to sleep for a week, but I’m pumped to see everyone soon!” — Conrad Close, Director of Marketing
“My favorite part of NRB conventions is getting to meet “my” customers face-to-face! It’s wonderful to put names with faces! I really enjoy serving my customers, they are some of the kindest and nicest people!” — Monica Palmer, Convention Registrar
“Having had a front row seat to hear the hearts of our event planners as they give our convention shape and form, I am encouraged and excited for NRB Convention week because it is a sweet reflection of the passion our organization has for the gospel and our desire to point the world to Christ by encouraging Christian communicators to keep at it and to do it more effectively in the year ahead.” — Amy Kyker, Speaker Liaison
“This will be my first NRB convention, and even as each day nearing the event has gotten busier, I’ve continued to become more and more excited to be there! As a young communicator myself, I think I’m most excited about hearing from people who are excelling as communicators as they live on mission with Christ. There are so many good things that will be happening at NRB 2021, and I can’t wait to be there!” — Marissa Postell, Managing Editor of Content
