Revival Across Continents: Ashley Gronholm’s Mission of Prayer and Power

In a whirlwind year of prophetic encounters, divine assignments, and bold intercession, Ashley Gronholm has taken her ministry global—quite literally. As the founder of Be Free Ministry, Gronholm is no stranger to bold obedience. But 2025 has ushered in a fresh mandate: to take the Gospel across Europe and as far as India.

“This year of 2025, what I heard the Lord say was this is going to be a year of supernatural increase and miracles, miracles like you’ve never seen before,” she said.

And that is precisely what has unfolded.

Gronholm inside Parliament

From the private gardens of the Vatican to war-torn Ukraine, Gronholm, in the first few months of this year, has moved through nations with a unique calling—to intercede, declare, and ignite revival in unlikely places. What started as a word from a prophetic voice at a minister’s breakfast in Washington, D.C.—”you would soon lead a revival in Eastern Europe”—became a fire that led her from Rome, to London, and now, into the heart of Ukraine.

While in Rome, Gronholm found herself interceding in the Vatican gardens, praying “for the uprooting and overturning of false religion in Italy.” She was given a tour of the Vatican private gardens—grounds normally reserved only for the Pope and his dignitaries to walk.

From there, she traveled to London for the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) Conference, where she described encountering billionaires, thought leaders, and ministers, receiving “a whole new blueprint and a whole new vision.” While in London, she interceded for revival from the gates of Buckingham Palace as well as during a private tour of Parliament and the King and Queen’s private chapel.

After God gave Gronholm a vision of the Taj Mahal in October, He orchestrated events that led her to New Delhi in March. In a powerful culmination of the vision, she joined with local pastors to pray at the Taj Mahal, specifically seeking a widespread spiritual awakening throughout the country.

Currently in Ukraine, where she will stay for 90 days, she has endured nightly air raid sirens and rocket interceptions over her lodging.

“It’s extremely unsettling,” she said. Despite the risks, she felt a strong call to remain: “I know God has me here now to be praying and interceding and believing and declaring that Ukraine shall be saved.”

In late February, Gronholm had the remarkable opportunity to attend the inaugural National Day of Prayer at the Ukrainian Parliament—a miraculous occasion, considering Parliament’s allowance of an American woman, not a diplomat, to be present.

Gronholm’s journey to Christ is just as compelling as her global ministry. A former member of the Mormon church, she had a radical encounter with Jesus that shattered what she knew before about faith. That deep deliverance has since birthed a calling to “overturn the tables of false religion,” whether in Mormonism, Hinduism, or the halls of compromised government and religious power structures.

“God has made me bold to do these things and to be an intercessor for nations,” she said.

Her boots-on-the-ground work includes building relationships with churches and NGOs, notably Save the Children, which partners with Samaritan’s Purse to rescue trafficked children.

“There are over a million children that have been trafficked out of Ukraine,” she shared. “The impact will be in saving the children, because the rising generation—that’s what it’s all about.”

Grieving the horrors on the front lines, Gronholm is also working to raise support for medical aid and equipment for wounded soldiers and civilians.

“I prayed for one of these soldiers that had lost both of his legs completely,” she said. “He needs some prosthetic legs. That’s hard for them to get here.”

Despite the pain and danger, she continues to see God’s hand: “It has been a year of miracles, with miracle provision and miracle situations and miracle results.”

While her European mission has taken center stage this year, Gronholm’s ministry stretches far beyond. Be Free Ministry has planted active prayer houses in Ghana, Kenya, the southern mountain region of India, and Falisbad, Pakistan—often ministering directly to widows and orphans.

She also holds regular worship nights in Ellijay, Ga., and Panama City, Fla., and offers a free online Bible training school: Magdala School of Apostolic Ministry.

“It’s open enrollment, work at your own pace, and one hundred percent free of charge,” she said.

Later this year, she plans to minister again in Ghana, Nigeria, and three regions of Brazil, continuing her worldwide movement of revival and restoration.

Her daughter Nicole, who also directs her broadcast “Be Free with Ashley Gronholm,” has been by her side throughout this European mission. Her TV broadcast recently landed a network spot on WATC Channel 57 and Bible Discovery Network out of Canada and also airs on World Trumpet TV and Vision TV Network.

As a former national singer and worship leader, Gronholm also ministers through music and media. Her worship single “Miracle In Me” charted at number 8 on the Gospel Christian digital charts and still holds ground on secular adult contemporary charts.

As she continues her mission in Ukraine through May, Gronholm is urging the global church to rise up in intercession.

“All God needs is for your faith to align with His heart and to speak it in faith,” she said. “I just walked those gardens that day in faith… and believed what God was putting in my heart to pray. That’s what intercessors do.”
