Reason #3 to Attend NRB 2020: Exposure and More Exposure

NRB | January 23, 2020 | NRB News

Your terrific organization, idea, product, service, book, or film needs a special ingredient in the publicity, promotion, and distribution process: exposure.

At the NRB 2020 Christian Media Convention, you may be able to increase your exposure significantly by taking advantage of all the opportunities that could be available to you.

Have an organization that you want more people to know about?

Consider exhibiting on the floor of NRB’s award-winning Exposition, where your organization will be visible to the thousands who will attend NRB 2020, including radio and TV station owners and operators, video producers, radio and TV program producers, film producers, pastors and teachers, church media professionals, broadcast CEOs, advertising and marketing agencies, web developers, bloggers, donor software designers, experts in the areas of mobile and social media, podcasters, and many others.

Have content that you want to get out there?

At NRB 2020, you’ll be able to connect directly with broadcasting stations and networks including Brio TV, SuperChannel WACX-TV, The Miracle Channel, WATC-TV, WGGS-TV/KMCT-TV, Christian Television Network, Family 7, WBNA TV 21, NRBTV, CNLTV, Grace and Truth Radio, Faith Radio, Truth Network, and more; and publishers including Advantage Books, Baker Publishing, Capture Books, Charisma Media, Christian Indie Publishing Association, Genesis Alive, Hendrickson & Rose Publishing, and Moody Publishing. In addition, there will be companies that specialize in distribution, licensing, consulting, PR, marketing, and syndication.

Also, at the NRB Pitch-a-thon, you’ll get the chance to pitch your screenplay, book, or completed media project one-on-one, face-to-face with a distribution company or two! In its six years, the NRB Pitch-a-thon has resulted in deals, and a number of participants have received offers for distribution for their films, documentaries, short films, and other projects and screenplays.

In addition, NRB’s TV Showcase will return this year and is now accepting entries. This event is designed to showcase programs for producers looking for exposure to network program directors and station managers. Frequently, Showcase winners find themselves with invitations into markets and on to stations that otherwise might be very difficult to enjoy.

Want to catch the attention of your next employer?

Not only will you have the opportunity to speak face-to-face with representatives from some of the best-known organizations (including American Family Association, American Heritage Girls, Evangelism Explosion International, Liberty  Counsel, Mercy Ships, World News Group, and more), you can also post your resume on the Job Board at NRB 2020. For the past 10 years, the Job Board has been a popular spot to visit during NRB’s annual Convention. The Job Board features postings of job announcements, resumes, and available internships. Before the Convention, email convention@nrb.org if you would like to have an ad posted on the Job Board. Postings are free to NRB members and just $75 per posting for non-members.

Want to connect with members of the press?

Stop by the Convention Press Center, where dozens of reporters, podcasters, and program hosts will be waiting for their next interview.

And if you’re an NRB member or a Convention exhibitor or sponsor, you can get access to the press list to connect with those registered as press and to schedule interviews in advance. Want to meet up with someone from The Christian Post during the Convention? What about Pure Flix? Just email presscenter@nrb.org for the list.

Inversely, if you are a member of NRB or a Convention exhibitor or sponsor, we can help you get on the radar of media outlets who will be there to cover the Convention and to conduct interviews (including those not on the public list mentioned above)!

A list of people who are available for interviews will be distributed to credentialed press covering the Convention. To be added to the list, just email mmontemayor@nrb.org the name of the individual along with their title, organization name, a 1-2 paragraph pitch, and some contact information.

In addition, you may want to bring with you to the Convention some press releases, which can be placed in the Press Center (located in the Delta A Ballroom) for the press to pick up. Again, this option is available only to NRB members and Convention exhibitors and sponsors. To inquire about NRB membership, contact Lyndsey Thornton at lthornton@nrb.org. For opportunities to sponsor, contact Carlton Capps at ccapps@nrb.org. To exhibit at NRB 2020, contact Chuck Smith at csmith@nrb.org, or call 202-849-8447.

Also available (at no cost) to NRB members and Convention exhibitors and sponsors is the opportunity to hold a 30-minute press conference during NRB 2020. And if you’re a registered attendee and don’t fit into one of those categories, you can still get your message out to the media by holding a press conference for a nominal fee.
