Paula Faris, Emmy-Award winning journalist, author, and podcaster, is scheduled to speak on March 15, 2021, during the opening session of the NRB 2021 Christian Media Convention taking place March 15-18 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.
“Working in the high-profile, high-stakes world of broadcast journalism for over 20 years, Faris has gained valuable experience not only as a communicator but also as a Christian working in a secular media environment,” said NRB Senior VP of Communications Daniel Darling. “We are honored to have Faris join us in Texas to open our weeklong Convention and are excited for Christian media professionals to learn from her.”
Faris, a senior national correspondent at ABC News, currently hosts the popular podcast “Journeys of Faith,” giving an intimate look at how some of the world’s most influential people lean on faith and spirituality to guide them through the best and worst of times.
Previously at ABC, Faris was a co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend and a co-host of The View.
Throughout her career, she has reported on everything from politics, news, and entertainment to sports and faith and has interviewed people such as Hillary Clinton, Sean Spicer, Joe Biden, Kellyanne Conway, Reese Witherspoon, Tiger Woods, and the casts of “Star Wars” and “Avengers.“
In her latest book Called Out: Why I Traded Two Dream Jobs for a Life of True Calling, Faris recalls her journey as a communicator as she learned to listen and respond to God’s calling on her life.
Faris will be one of over 80 speakers at NRB 2021. Speakers include Will Graham, Vice President and Associate Evangelist of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association; Tony Evans, Founder and President of The Urban Alternative; Mark Jobe, President of Moody Bible Institute; and David French, Senior Editor of The Dispatch.
