NRB to Host Live Conversation with Freedom 250 Ahead of America’s Semiquincentennial, NRB Convention
Public online event to preview historic national celebration, highlight opportunities for engagement for Christian communicators
WASHINGTON, D.C. (NRB) – The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), the world’s largest association of Christian communicators, will host a public, live conversation with Freedom 250 on Friday, February 6, from 1–2 p.m. ET, as part of its lead-up to a major celebration of American independence at the upcoming NRB 2026 International Christian Media Convention in Nashville, Tenn.
The live discussion will feature Rachel Gerli, chief partnerships officer for Freedom 250, and will be hosted by Troy A. Miller, president & CEO of NRB. The event will stream live on YouTube and Zoom and is open to the public.
Freedom 250 is the national, non-partisan movement driving the celebration of the United States’ 250th birthday in 2026, partnering with the White House Task Force 250, federal agencies, and the America250 Commission to deliver iconic events and nationwide engagement activities marking this once-in-a-generation milestone.
“Freedom 250 is a moment to honor 250 years of American freedom and to reaffirm the faith-rooted values that have guided our nation from its beginning,” Gerli said.
During the conversation, Gerli will discuss the vision and scope of the Semiquincentennial celebration, opportunities for partnership and participation, and ways organizations and communities can engage through creative storytelling and meaningful collaboration leading into 2026.
“America’s 250th anniversary presents a unique moment for reflection, unity, and forward-looking engagement,” said Troy A. Miller. “NRB is honored to highlight the work of Freedom 250 and to help set the stage for a national celebration that recognizes faith, freedom, and the role of media in shaping our shared story.”
The conversation also serves as a preview of NRB’s broader programming planned for the NRB 2026 Convention, where thousands of Christian communicators and media professionals will gather to celebrate America’s historic milestone.
