NRB Members Provide Aid for Pakistan Flooding Victims

A severe monsoon season has taken a deadly toll on parts of Pakistan, inundating one-third of the country with heavy rainfall and catastrophic flooding. More than 1,100 people and 800,000 livestock have died, at least 3,500 have been injured, 2 million acres of crops have been engulfed, and in total, more than 33 million have been affected by the torrential downpours.

NRB members, including Samaritan’s Purse, CBN, and GFA World, are on the ground in Pakistan responding with their disaster relief teams.

In coordination with local partners, Samaritan’s Purse is providing emergency relief to thousands of Pakistani families through food, water filtration kits, sturdy shelter materials, and hygiene kits.

“Millions of people are suffering in Pakistan right now as a result of the worst flooding in decades. But events like this are also an opportunity for the floodgates of God’s love to be poured out and received,” said Samaritan’s Purse project manager Jason Martens.

CBN Operation Blessing is on-site in Peshawar, Pakistan mobilizing emergency medical relief alongside its longtime disaster relief partner, Humedica, to assist those suffering from dehydration, hunger, and skin diseases from “dismal hygienic conditions and the warm and humid climate.”

GFA World, in activating their disaster relief team, Compassion Services, is ministering to the flood victims by delivering essential supplies.

“Compassion Services teams have undergone emergency training and are now implementing that training in Pakistan by delivering basic medicine, water, food and clothing,” said GFA World founder K.P. Yohannan.

As NRB members reach out to meet the needs of the global community, please join NRB in praying for the millions affected in Pakistan, as well as seamless and effective operations for those providing relief.
