NRB Hosts Full Day of Forums at 2023 Convention
Panelists Discuss Life, Freedom, Critical Theory, and Christians in Media on the Second Day of NRB 2023
ORLANDO, FLA. (NRB) – On Tuesday, May 23, at the NRB 2023 International Christian Media Convention, key voices in faith-driven communications held bold conversations on challenging cultural issues in four NRB Forums.

- “Living in the Dobbs Era: Life After Roe,” moderated by Eric Metaxas (New York Times bestselling author and nationally syndicated radio host), featured experts Abby Johnson (CEO & Founder at And Then There Were None and ProLove Ministries), Jeanne F. Mancini (President at March for Life), Bradley Mattes (President at Life Issues Institute), and Dr. Ingrid Skop, M.D. (pro-life OB/GYN and Director of Medical Affairs at Charlotte Lozier Institute). Panelists discussed the fight for the sanctity of life in post-Dobbs America, observing that “We are moving into a new season of building a culture of life. - “Freedom in the Balance: Will Americans Remain Free to Say What They Believe?” presented by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), introduced the NRB 2023 audience to a panel of ADF clients who have experienced religious freedom violations. Kellie Fiedorek (Senior Counsel, Government Affairs Director at ADF) hosted the conversation with clients Emilee Carpenter, Lorie Smith, and Jack Phillips.
- “CRT/ESG/DEI and Its Impact in the Church and Marketplace,” moderated by Adele Malpass (President at the Daily Caller News Foundation), welcomed John Cooper (Musician, Speaker, Author), Star Parker(Founder and President of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education), Jeremy Tedesco (Senior Counsel, Senior Vice President of Corporate Engagement at Alliance Defending Freedom), and Dr. Eric Wallace (Co-Founder and President at Freedom’s Journal Institute) to discuss the dangerous implications of critical theory in schools, churches, and business. - “How Christians Are Framed in the Media Today” explored questions of how the ability to communicate truth is impacted when Christians are misrepresented in the media.
