NRB Great Commission Event: “The Way to Revival is Repentance”

NRB | June 1, 2023 | NRB News

NRB’s annual convention draws Christian media professionals from all over the world who are looking to join with U.S. counterparts for encouragement, training, and global partnerships. This year, 219 international attendees representing 43 countries outside the United States participated in NRB 2023.

On the first afternoon of the four-day NRB 2023 International Christian Media Convention in Orlando, Florida, the Great Commission Summit focused on living out the tenets of the faith and using global media to advance the ultimate goal of reaching the world with the Gospel.

The event kicked off with an international reception that offered attendees the chance to reunite and make new introductions, launching connections that will last far beyond NRB 2023.

The Great Commission Forum featured Dr. Michael Oh, Global Executive Director & CEO at Lausanne Movement, an organization that connects influencers and ideas for global mission.

Oh encouraged attendees to live out their faith authentically, saying, “The content of our character matters. The consistency of our lives matters. The compassion of our actions matters. The connection between faith and works matters.”

Oh added, “We are not where we want to be. We are not who we want to be. We are not where God wants us to be. But, we are not where we will be and we are not yet who God is making us to be.”

Nick Vujicic, President & CEO of Life Without Limbs, delivered inspiring, action-focused remarks on revival in America. Aussie-American Nick Vujicic was born in 1982 without limbs. There was no medical conclusion as to why he was born this way, but in spite of his physical limitations, his courage and tenacity for life have caused him to become one of the most successful motivational speakers in the world.

“It is time America actually repents,” Vujicic said. “The way to revival is repentance that actually then awakes the righteous and the remnant to do what God wants you to do.”

Forum sponsors included Turning Point USA (TPUSA) and The Lance Wallnau Show. TPUSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote freedom. The Lance Wallnau Show brings current events, politics, and spiritual insight in a unique and entertaining style.
