On Tuesday, December 6, NRB President & CEO Troy A. Miller joined Steve Gruber with America’s Voice Live discussing the free speech case before the Supreme Court––303 Creative LLC v. Aubrey Elenis case.
The case concerning Lorie Smith, a graphic artist, and the state of Colorado’s anti-discrimination legislation is a concern for all Christian communicators and broadcasters.
“The fact that Colorado itself is deciding what content people can or cannot do and compelling them,” said Miller. “This is as far from freedom of speech that you can get today.”

On Wednesday evening, Miller was joined by John Solomon and Amanda Head on Just the News, Not Noise discussing the Respect for Marriage Act, and the blatant censorship of Christians exercising their religious liberty in the media.
According to Miller, the Respect for Marriage Act will open the door to
“frivolous” lawsuits on Christian organizations and ministries.
“The real issue is about silencing the church or silencing anybody, any organization that doesn’t affirm same-sex marriage,” said Miller. “There’s this private right to action that’s allowed by the legislation, which means if you feel like an organization hasn’t met your needs and your affirmation, you can make a civil lawsuit against them and there’s no other criteria in the bill that says you can’t.”
