NRB Celebrates Faithfulness in Christian Communications at Convention Closing Gala

On Friday, Feb. 23, NRB members and friends of Christian broadcasting gathered at the signature Closing Gala to mark the conclusion of the 2024 NRB International Christian Media Convention and honor the NRB Special Service Award recipients. The Closing Gala featured remarks from Dr. Jack Graham, Senior Pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church and voice of PowerPoint Ministries.

Graham spoke about the necessity of Christians to remain steadfast and faithful in their commission from God to preach the Gospel. He reminded Christian communicators that though there is discouragement and weariness in the world, they must not give up stewarding their ministries with dedication, enthusiasm, and faithfulness.

“Paul said, woe is me if I don’t preach the gospel,” Graham said. “We do this because we’re called and commissioned to do it. We have a message that changes the world because this message of Jesus has changed each one of us.”

By standing firm on God’s Word, Christians can be unshakeable and immovable, rather than influenced by latest trends and cultural influences, Graham said. He spoke of the power that Christian media has—and must continue to have—in shining the light of the Gospel and overcoming evil with good.

“The reason that we have such a pathetic and lackluster response to the resurrection is because the resurrection of Jesus is under-preached in our pulpits across America and around the world,” Graham said. “Keep going. Never give up. Why? Because Jesus is alive, and He lives in us.”

Graham also addressed and honored the recipients of 2024 NRB Special Service Awards. He spoke of specific individuals’ perseverance, faithfulness, and fidelity in serving God in their various leadership positions.

“God is on His throne, and He’s raising up a new generation of preachers, teachers, leaders, and those who are serving the Lord in the work of Christ, just like you,” Graham said.
