Best Colleges, an online source for students in making informed decisions in finding the best school and degree program, has named their top Christian online colleges and universities that are academically rigorous and deeply committed to distance learning initiatives.

Among those ranked in the Top 50 list were iNRB member schools North Greenville University (ranked No. 7) and Oral Roberts University (ranked No. 31).

“I’m excited that Best Colleges has ranked our online programs so high on their list—but I’m not surprised,” said NGU Provost and Dean of the University Faculty Dr. Nathan A. Finn in a press release. “Our faculty who teach online are dedicated to both academic excellence and student accessibility. Our E-Learning Center helps the faculty design quality online courses and trains them in how to teach effectively in an online environment. I believe rankings like this confirm the great work that NGU Online is doing to offer Christ-centered online programs to students here, there, and everywhere.”

“We are honored to be on the list,” ORU President Dr. William M. Wilson told NRB Today. “We believe ORU has a distinctive Whole Person education to offer students and we are excited to provide a variety of online options. We continue expanding those options and many more students are taking advantage of what our premier Spirit-empowered University has to offer.”

The schools on the list rank according to three criteria: Christian character, program quality, and academic prestige. According to Best Colleges, the overall effort is to identify the most helpful indicators that a school is sincerely Christian in their culture, academic in their studies, and offers legitimate online options.
