Manassas, VA – Samaritan's Purse will receive the NRB Best Television Public Service Announcement Award for Box of Hope during the February 27th Television Reception at the NRB Convention & Exposition.

“This award-winning PSA serves the public by creating opportunities for service,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright.  “Samaritan’s Purse and their ‘Boxes of Hope’ have blessed children all over the world by showing the saints in the United States that something as small as a shoebox can have a big impact in a child’s life—and afterlife.”

Box of Hope is a PSA promoting Operation Christmas Child, which distributes gift-filled shoe-boxes and the Good News of God’s love to children in all corners of the globe.  Through Operation Christmas Child, Samaritan’s Purse works in partnership with local churches to hand out the shoe-boxes and offer Gospel booklets to children in their own language.  Through their follow-up discipleship program, well over two million boys and girls have committed their lives to Jesus Christ.

Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ.

The Best Television Public Service Announcement award is presented to an organization that produces a PSA that is designed to educate and inform the general public about a free public service that is offered by a Christian non-profit organization. The award will represent the best in technical quality, creativity, and present a compelling message about a public service. The length of the PSA is no less than fifteen seconds and is no longer than two minutes.
