Dr. Wright and Rep. J. Randy ForbesManassas, VA- NRB presented its 2012 Faith & Freedom Award to Rep. J. Randy Forbes (R-VA) on September 13, 2012. Rep. Forbes serves on the House Judiciary Committee and the House Armed Services Committee (Chairman - Readiness Subcommittee). In addition, he is founder and Chairman of the Congressional Prayer Caucus.
“We are privileged to honor Congressman Randy Forbes with this award,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. “His leadership as founder and chair of the Congressional Prayer Caucus gives a glimpse into his faith. Along with that is the sense of responsibility he feels to preserve the freedom for which so many have fought and died. We honor ourselves when we honor a man like Representative J. Randy Forbes.”

NRB annually presents the Faith & Freedom Award to a stalwart defender of religious liberty at its Capitol Hill Media Summit, the annual gathering of the NRB President’s Council in Washington, DC.  Past recipients include former-Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS), Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR) and Alan Sears, President  & CEO of Alliance Defending Freedom.
