NRB Presents 2013 Faith & Freedom Award to Rep. Trent Franks

CapHillMediaSummit_Day2-392.jpgWashington, DC – The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) presented its 2013 Faith & Freedom Award to Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) on October 2, 2013.

Rep. Franks currently serves as Chairman of the Constitution Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee.

Moreover, he is a defender of the First Amendment, in particular religious freedom, and active voice for First Amendment principles internationally. He is also an advocate for human life, recently ushering The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act through the House of Representatives.
“Congressman Trent Franks is a man of faith and a champion for life and liberty on Capitol Hill," remarked NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. “We are privileged to honor Congressman Franks with this award.”

NRB annually presents the Faith & Freedom Award to a stalwart defender of religious liberty at its Capitol Hill Media Summit, the annual gathering of the NRB President’s Council in Washington, DC.  Past recipients include former-Sen. Sam Brownback (R-KS); Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN); Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL); Rep. Greg Walden (R-OR); Alan Sears, President  & CEO of Alliance Defending Freedom; and Rep. J. Randy Forbes (R-VA).
