Museum of the Bible logoWASHINGTON (NRB) –Museum of the Bible, returning to the NRB International Christian Media Convention in February as a Platinum Sponsor, will publicly debut interactive technologies in development for the museum’s opening in Washington next year.

“I am happy to announce the return of Museum of the Bible as a Platinum Sponsor for our upcoming Convention, Proclaim 17,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Jerry A. Johnson. “Museum of the Bible’s state-of-the-art facility in Washington, D.C., will draw visitors from across the nation and around the world, and engage countless individuals with the best-selling book of all time. Our Convention attendees will once again get a unique opportunity to preview what the museum will have to offer and see why it’s opening next year is so highly anticipated.”

“Museum of the Bible will provide Proclaim 17 attendees a glimpse of the memorable experience awaiting future museum visitors from all walks of life as they encounter the world’s most consequential book,” said Cary Summers, president of Museum of the Bible. “This preview will feature aspects of our customized technologies never before shown publicly.”

Located in Washington, just three blocks from the nation’s Capitol, Museum of the Bible is under construction and scheduled to open in November 2017.

Using cutting-edge technologies, Museum of the Bible will provide guests with an immersive, personalized, innovative experience as they engage with the Bible. The museum’s private collections – an aggregation of several of the world’s most prominent private collections of biblical objects and artifacts – contains thousands of donated items as well as artifacts and rare books under long-term agreement with several collections. In addition, cooperative agreements with other institutions, including the Israel Antiquities Authority, will provide museum guests an unrivaled opportunity to engage with artifacts and materials related to the Bible.

During Proclaim 17, the NRB International Christian Media Convention taking place Feb. 27-March 2, 2017, in Orlando, Florida, Museum of the Bible will present an all new, one-of-a-kind interactive preview of the 430,000-square-foot museum in Washington.

Through a breathtaking, 20,000-square-foot presentation, visitors to the exhibit will get a firsthand look at treasures from the museum’s notable collections, which contains some of history’s most consequential biblical artifacts. They’ll get an exclusive sneak peek at the eight-floor museum’s exhibit plans as well as content and interactive technologies designed exclusively for it.

Museum of the Bible will be among the more than 200 exhibitors that will be found on the floor of the NRB’s award-winning Exposition, the largest marketplace dedicated to Christian media professionals. Passes to enter the exhibit hall are available for just $25. Entrance is included in a full convention registration.

While the Convention itself will take place Feb. 27-March 2, 2017, the exhibit hall will be open Feb. 28-March 2.
