Manassas, VA -- 89.3 KSBJ will receive the prestigious NRB Station of the Year Award (Major/Large Market) during the February 27th Radio Reception at the NRB Convention & Exposition.

“KSBJ has demonstrated to their listeners in Houston that they are interested in meeting needs, and their listeners have responded in kind—giving $700,000 more than their Sharathon goal last year,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright.  “And the KSBJ leadership has demonstrated that servant heart yet again through mentoring other Christian stations in several countries—and continents.  We are therefore delighted to recognize KSBJ for their presence in their market as well as around the world.”

Celebrating 27 years on-air, KSBJ is Houston’s leading independent, non-profit, non-commercial, contemporary Christian music radio station. As a listener-supported radio station, and a long-standing member of the ECFA, KSBJ’s ministry is managed by a group of volunteer men and women—from across the Greater Houston area—who serve as members of its Board of Directors.  The board members represent diverse denominations, backgrounds and professions who provide oversight, direction and accountability for the ministry.

The NRB Station of the Year Award (Major/Large Market) is presented to a radio station that is innovative, locally-focused, and effectively impacts a market of more than 1.5 million in potential population through community service, promotions and marketing, outreach, ratings, and/or other means.
