Islam to be Focus of NRB 2013 Public Policy Session

Manassas, VA– A Public Policy Session on Islam will be held during the NRB 2013 Convention on Tuesday, March 5, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.

Assembled for the one and a half hour event is a stellar panel of individuals who will look at Islam from various perspectives – the threat of terrorism, the profile of a terrorist, evangelistic opportunities and the reception of the Gospel in the Muslim world. The discussion has been designed to help equip Christian broadcasters and communicators to better understand a powerful geopolitical system that makes headlines daily. It has also been designed to enable Christians to better understand the Islamic worldview in order to facilitate sharing the Gospel with Muslims.

"As Muslims account for roughly a quarter of the earth’s population, understanding them and their worldview is critical in reaching the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ,” commented NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. “Our Public Policy Session panelists will help shed some light on the world’s second-largest religion in what is sure to be an insightful and invaluable discussion."

On the session’s panel are Al Fadi, a former Wahabbi Muslim from Saudi Arabia who is now the researcher, editor, writer, and translator for numerous Christian ministries; Lieutenant General William G. "Jerry" Boykin (Ret.), Executive Vice President of the Family Research Council; Kamal Saleem, a former member of the Muslim Brotherhood who came to renounce his murderous mission and embrace freedom, as attested in his book, Memoirs of a Terrorist; and Tom Doyle, Middle East Director of e3 Partners, who has spent eleven years as a full-time missionary in the Middle East and Central Asia.

The debate will be moderated by Janet Parshall, the on-air host of the nationally syndicated daily program In the Market with Janet Parshall.
