Manassas, VA –The Super Session at NRB 2011 on Sunday, February 27th features a presentation titled: “Connecting with Audiences in an Age of Distraction: A Conversation about Movies, Entertainment, and the Future of Media” with Michael Flaherty and Simon Swart, and with special comments by John Schneider and Mark Joseph.

Michael Flaherty, President, Walden Media
Michael Flaherty is Co-Founder and President of Walden Media, a Production Company that focuses on films that entertain and educate, are affirming, and carry a moral message. Past award-winning Walden films include: The Chronicles of Narnia series, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Nim’s Island, Charlotte’s Web and the Sundance Audience Prize Winning documentary Waiting for Superman. As an author, Flaherty has been published in National Review, The Boston Business Journal and American Spectator.

Simon Swart, Executive Vice President & General Manager of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment for North America
When it comes to major Hollywood studios, Simon Swart is leading the charge for the future of home entertainment. His insight into consumers, technology, and behavior is helping develop strategies to reach the next generation of consumers.

John Schneider, Actor and Musician
John Schneider is an actor and musician. He is best known for his portrayal of Bo Duke in the 1980's American television series The Dukes of Hazzard, and as Jonathan Kent on Smallville, a 2001 television adaptation of Superman. In addition to his vast acting career, Schneider performed as a country music singer in the 1980s, releasing nine studio albums and a greatest hits package, as well as 18 singles.  He is currently in production of the soon-to-be-released movie, Doonby. Additionally, Schneider is co-founder of the Children's Miracle Network.

Mark Joseph, Marketing and Film Developer
Mark Joseph has been involved in the development and/or marketing of 21 feature films, including The Chronicles of Narnia, Ray, The Ultimate Gift, The Passion of The Christ, Because of Winn-Dixie and others.  He is currently producing the feature films Reagan and IX. Joseph is a contributor to both The Huffington Post and, and is the author of four books including Faith, God & Rock ‘n’ Roll. He also has been quoted widely on issues relating to pop culture in media outlets like The New York Times, USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Wall Street Journal, and VH-1.
