My_Hope_200.JPGManassas, VA – The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) will receive the prestigious NRB Best Television Special Programming Award February 21st at the NRB 2012 Convention & Exposition for Always Good News - My Hope Malawi.

“In the My Hope Malawi special, BGEA has chronicled how the Lord drew more than 166,000 people in Malawi to Himself through small evangelistic gatherings all over the country,” said NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright.  “This is a compelling story, and BGEA through their signature style has told it in a very compelling way.”

Aways Good News is a program produced by BGEA that captures and communicates the transforming work of the Gospel to a “believing” audience using the latest docu-reality storytelling techniques.   Through the My Hope project, Billy Graham’s messages have been broadcast in 54 countries, customized to each nation's cultural sensitivities, and dubbed into local languages. Every year, thousands of "living room crusades" are held during the broadcasts, and more than 10 million people have indicated decisions for Christ through this project worldwide.

The NRB Best Television Special Programming Award is presented to a special that demonstrates a unique vision and perspective of an important current issue; displays the highest standards of quality, creativity and innovative content; engages the culture as an effective witness from a Christian perspective; and shows a compelling use of the medium from artistic and technical standpoints.
