WTLW general manager Kevin Bowers said that Ron Mighell could be considered “a man with a vision.”
Mighell, the founder of WTLW TV44 in Lima, died Monday after battling an illness. He died at Stevens County Hospital in Toccoa, Georgia, a place he had called home since 2006.
Nonetheless, a man with a great vision and little financial support to start out with was the engineer of bringing the television station to what it is today. Channel 44 broadcast its first signal at 3:30 p.m. June 13, 1982
