Washington Is Considering New Guidelines For Big Deal Reviews

The Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice are jointly proposing revisions to the federal merger review guidelines. The updated Hart-Scott-Rodino review process – which any deal valued at $94 million or more must go through – would require a combination of more disclosures but also a pullback on which deals would be subject to government examination.
