FCC Opens Media Ownership Review Docket

The FCC has already voted to restore the UHF discount, which will allow some TV station groups to get bigger, and has invalidated former FCC chairman Tom Wheeler's effort to tighten reviews of Joint Sales Agreements. But Pai has signaled crossownership rules are likely to go as well, and look for local-market duopoly prohibitions and the 39% national ownership cap to be in his sights as well.
