No Ad Tax Included In Current Senate Overhaul Proposal

The two sides of the Capitol may have different ideas about how the U.S. tax code should be overhauled. But there seems to be an agreement that a so-called ad tax shouldn’t be part of the mix. The Senate unveiled its proposed Tax Cuts and Jobs Act last week and while the detailed bill hasn’t been finalized, the outline doesn’t currently change how companies can write off their advertising expenses.
