House Passes STELAR On Voice Vote
July 22, 2014The House Tuesday passed the STELA Reauthorization Act, or STELAR, which renews the compulsory license that allows satellite operators to import distant network TV station signals into markets that don't have one. It also renews the FCC’s authority to mandate fair retransmission consent negotiations.
