Space Shuttle Discovery Passes NRB Headquarters

Shuttle DiscoveryOn Tuesday, April 17, staff at NRB Headquarters in Manassas, VA, witnessed a momentous event. The staff stood outside and watched as the space shuttle Discovery circled several times around the office building to prepare for landing at Dulles International Airport. Traveling atop a modified jumbo jet, Discovery has finished its final mission following 148 million miles and 365 days in orbit—NASA’s oldest and most traveled shuttle—and will be on display at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Dulles in northern Virginia.
