When TWR360 was launched in May 2013, the web portal to Christian media content was available in only five languages.
In just two years, the number of languages has grown to 40, with Marathi, spoken mostly in India, being the newest language incorporated into the website.
Produced by TWR, TWR360 (www.twr360.org) is the world’s premier online tool for accessing Christian media resources in the user’s heart language – leading people from doubt to decision to discipleship. One of the most distinctive features of TWR360 is its ability to detect the language of a visitor’s browser and automatically function in that language.
TWR360 gives visitors access to a wide range of personally enriching messages in text, audio, and video format. The website also serves as a tool for sharing faith with others. To date, dozens of ministries have provided thousands of pieces of media content for the platform, including David Platt’s Radical, FamilyLife Today, Leading The Way, and more.
Churches and other ministries with hearts for reaching the world for Christ are invited to extend their reach through the platform as their content is made available in native tongues across the globe.
Aside from the website, TWR360 is also available as an application on Android and Apple mobile devices.
As it happens, users from India are among the most active on TWR360. They accounted for the second-highest number of sessions among all the 228 countries and territories that had visitors to the site in May 2015. And there were more than 391,000 total visits that month.
Marathi, the language of the Marathas in India, is spoken by about 60 million people in the state of Maharashtra and elsewhere. Marathi ranks 19th in the list of most-spoken languages in the world.
