Iraqi Christian Relief Council

On the eve of this Convention, Juliana Taimoorazy, Founder and President of the Iraqi Christian Relief Council, and Robert Nicholson, the Founder and Executive Director of the Philos Project, will have returned from their fact-finding and humanitarian mission in northern Iraq. While on the ground in this war-torn country, they met with officials in the Kurdish Regional Government, members of the Iraqi Parliament, and Christian leadership to discuss the best way to improve the living conditions for displaced-Christians. The team also traveled to displaced-Christian camps, spent time with the persecuted, and distributed aid in multiple locations. The aid distributed thus far in northern Iraq includes food parcels, blankets, kerosene tanks, pillows, mattresses, and even mobile homes to provide tangible shelter for the displaced Christian families who are suffering under extremely dire conditions.

Prior to this trip, Ms. Taimoorazy and Mr. Nicholson visited Jordan (both in August and December 2015) to distribute aid including food parcels and other essential care packages. They also visited Al-Zaatari camp in Jordan, which contains all Syrian Muslim refugees, to gain a better understanding of their plight and why Christians are often not included in the United Nations mandated camps. Ms. Taimoorazy and Mr. Nicholson will discuss their firsthand experience in the region and their ongoing efforts to stop this ongoing genocide. More importantly their will share their thoughts on creation of an Assyrian Christian province in northern Iraq, which they believe is the only long-term solution that will help sustain Christianity in Iraq and offer a chance for people to return to their homes.

Women In the Word

WITWM is a non-profit with the focus of teaching women biblical principles and how to live those out in everyday life.  The President of WITWM is Shari Prichard, who has a fiery passion for helping women understand God’s Word and living it out in their daily lives.  She believes this only happens when we are authentic with one another.  Over the last 20 years, she has traveled the road of growing with Christ and willingly shares her life lessons.  Shari has been teaching women studies with genuineness and humor for the past 10 years.  Whether it’s a group of 30 or 100+, Shari knows it is never too late to change your life with Jesus and brings a message of hope, forgiveness, and love straight from the Word of God.  Additionally, Shari has over 20 years of experience in marketing, advertising, grant-writing, and team leading.

Recently, Shari published her first book through Xulon Publishing of Salem Media.  With humor and real-life situations, you could easily imagine Shari sitting at your kitchen table having a cup of coffee and talking about the struggles you are facing today.  God’s Expectations For His Daughters is a blunt conversation that breaks down biblical values into how-tos for everyday life.  It’s real, it’s honest, and it’s explained in a conversational style that’s easy to understand and relate to.
