NRB Teams Up with International Leaders Summit, FRC to Co-Host U.S. Presidential Candidates’ Forum in Jerusalem

Jerusalem Leaders SummitThe first U.S. Presidential Candidates’ Forum to be held beyond America’s shores will take place in Jerusalem next week, November 3-4.

The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), the Family Research Council, and the International Leaders Summit are co-hosting the event, which will focus on economic, foreign, defense, and cultural policy.

They will also be co-hosting the Jerusalem Leaders Summit’s Public Policy Event together with The Heritage Foundation and the Alliance for Direct Democracy in Europe. The conference, which will also take place November 3-4 at the Inbal Hotel in Israel, will bring together leaders from Europe, India, Israel, and the United States to engage with elected and governmental officials as well as business and think tank leaders.

NRB President & CEO Dr. Jerry A. Johnson and FRC President Tony Perkins will be among the speakers at the second event. Also speaking will be New York Times best-selling author Joel C. Rosenberg and Members of the European Parliament representing the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, and Sweden, among others.

"It is important for us to celebrate and to make sure we conserve the true values that have worked so well for our civilization: liberty, the rule of law, and private property,” said Dr. Johnson. “These principles of freedom and order did not arise in a vacuum; they came from the Judeo-Christian tradition, and the Jerusalem Leaders Summit will celebrate and strengthen the conservation of this unique worldview that is so needed today.”

The Jerusalem Leaders Summit’s key topics include strengthening the rule of law, threats to the security of Western democracies, economic freedom, and the contributions of innovation and technology that benefit citizens around the world.

Panel discussions featuring internationally known and respected political, business, and government officials will relate to the issues raised by the U.S. presidential hopefuls participating in the U.S. Presidential Candidates’ Forum and further expound on the pressing topics of our time.

During the U.S. Presidential Candidates’ Forum, candidates invited from both major political parties will have an opportunity to address key issues with an audience comprised of supporters of the host organizations and concerned residents in Israel.

The forum will provide the presidential hopefuls with a high-level and substantive international platform discussing the future of U.S. foreign policy, U.S.-Israel relations, threats to religious freedom, and the common civilization based on the rule of law and economic freedom. The candidates will have a historic first opportunity to communicate their views on issues facing that region of the world directly to concerned American citizens visiting the state of Israel and to friends of the U.S. in Israel.

Candidates will also have an opportunity to address the rise of anti-Semitism in Europe and the United States, and focus on the plight of Christians and other religious groups persecuted in Africa and the Middle East with an emphasis on solutions.

The forum will be broadcast from Jerusalem by the NRB Network and Lanser Broadcasting.
