The NRB staff wishes to congratulate a number of its members who were recently recognized by the Evangelical Press Association (EPA).
Last week, the EPA presented its annual awards, honoring the best work among Christian publications during the 2015 calendar year. The EPA hosts two annual contests: the “Higher Goals” contest (for individual pieces produced – reporting, photos, design, etc.) and the “Awards of Excellence” contest, which looks at the entire publication.
Among the first place "Higher Goals" awardees were the publications of Answers in Genesis (first place for Answers magazine in the “General Article: Short” and “Typography and Lettering” categories); Focus on the Family (first place for Adventures in Odyssey Clubhouse in the “Cartoon” category, and first place for Boundless in the “General Article: Medium” category); In Touch Ministries (first place for In Touch magazine in the “First-Person Article,” “Original Art: Traditional,” “Publication Design,” “Single-Theme Section or Issue,” and “Table of Contents” categories); LifeWay Christian Resources (first place for Fact & Trends magazine in the “General Article: Long” category); The Salvation Army (first place for War Cry in the “Cover” category); Voice of the Martyrs (first place in the “Single Photo: Candid” category); and World Vision (first place for World Vision Magazine Online in the “Photo Feature” and first place for World Vision magazine in the “Reporting” and “Single Photo: Controlled” categories).
In addition, an "Award of Excellence" was given to Compassion International in the “Youth (Digital)” category (for Compassion Explorer magazine); Focus on the Family in the “Youth” category (for Adventures in Odyssey Clubhouse); In Touch in the “Devotional” category; and The Voice of the Martyrs in the “Newsletter” category.
Notably, for the second consecutive year, NRB was also recognized with an “Award of Excellence” in “Newsletter Email (Digital)” category for its weekly e-newsletter, NRB Today. (For more about NRB Today's award, click here.)
