In response to the tragic police shootings in downtown Dallas that resulted in the deaths of five officers, 90.9 KCBI started a ministry campaign encouraging their listeners to either pick up or download their new “Share Hope for Law Enforcement” cards.
The purpose for the cards is to not only show how important local law enforcement is to local communities, but also to encourage and uplift police officers – especially after the horrific acts committed against members of the Dallas Police Department earlier this month.
“The process is very simple and just includes the listener writing a personal note of gratitude and thankfulness for the police officer’s daily sacrifice to protect the citizens around them,” explained the radio station.
90.9 KCBI is challenging people to take stacks of the cards around their communities, passing them out to their local law enforcement in their areas while also paying for their meal, shaking their hand, or giving them a hug.
“This simple outreach will surely bless tons of police officers as they all go through this trying period of time for law enforcement all over the nation,” the station reported.
For the effort, KCBI has partnered with Family Christian Store, which will serve as the official distribution sponsor for the Share Hope cards all over the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.
According to the station, various other local stores and restaurants have also expressed interest in being a part of the outreach.
