90.9 KCBI Celebrates 40 Years of Ministry by Honoring Legacy Partners

KCBI logoKCBI recognized the contributions of five longtime ministry partners with its first annual Ministry Impact Awards.

The awards were presented during the radio station’s 40th anniversary reception at Proclaim 16 to broadcast ministries that have partnered with KCBI for 20 years or more – namely Insight for Living, Grace to You and Dr. James Dobson, each of which have broadcast on KCBI for 38 years; Hope for the Heart (KCBI was the flagship station for the Hope for the Heart broadcast, which premiered 30 years ago); and the Urban Alternative, which has blessed listeners for 23 years on KCBI.

KCBI Station Manager Matt Austin said he sees the tremendous impact that encouraging music and words of hope from the Bible make in the lives of listeners every day.

“God is doing a work in North Texas that we’re privileged to be a part of,” said Austin.  “So many people tell us that they are truly growing in their faith because of the inspiration of KCBI music and personalities and the solid Bible teaching heard on the station and even globally through our digital platforms.”

In announcing the recipients of the Ministry Impact Awards, the staff and management of KCBI congratulated the five legacy partners for decades of faithful service, and thanked their ministry partners for their contributions.
