James MacDonald’s Wife Recovering from ATV Accident, Collapsed Lung

Kathy MacDonaldListeners of Walk in the Word are being encouraged to pray for the wife of Pastor James MacDonald, who was involved in a serious ATV accident in North Carolina last week.

According to James MacDonald, his wife, Kathy, suffered a broken elbow, six broken ribs, and a punctured (and later collapsed) lung after the ATV accident last Wednesday. Though her status has improved much since the accident, MacDonald’s ministry is still asking friends and listeners to pray for healing.

“Please continue to pray for Kathy MacDonald as she has been released from the hospital and is resting well in a friend’s home,” a staff member expressed Sunday.

In a video report from MacDonald to his church, the megachurch pastor said Kathy would be staying at the friends’ home in Winston-Salem, NC, for 5-6 days. MacDonald, who is the founding and senior pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago, has been on a 40-city tour with the Vertical Church Band that kicked off on August 8 and concluded on October 3.

“We really need your prayers,” the pastor expressed to the church in the video posted Monday. “We really believe that it’s your prayers that protected her life.”

The last stop of the tour was Jacksonville, FL. The MacDonalds are expected to return to Chicago this weekend.
