Guidelines International Ministry is celebrating its 50th year of proclaiming the Good News of the Gospel.
Guidelines began in 1963 in response to Harold and Darlene Sala’s desire to spread the message of Jesus Christ in such a manner that men and women would come to faith in the Lord and believers would be discipled and strengthened.
Since the ministry started broadcasting Harold Sala’s five-minute Guidelines for Family Living on September 2, 1963, on KFSG, a powerful AM station in Los Angeles, the radio program has been on the air five days each week continuously for 50 years.
“If you would have told me that 50 years later, I’d still be doing the same thing – 13,000 five-minute commentaries later – I would have fallen off the shipping crate I was using for a chair in a missionary guest house in Los Angeles as I recorded the first week of programming,” says Sala.
Today, the ministry also ministers to hurting people in many countries of the world.
In celebration of its anniversary, the ministry has set up a special page on its website where people are invited to share how God has used the ministry of Guidelines in their personal life.
