In the wake of attacks on religious freedom, particularly the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) at the federal and state levels, Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), an NRB member, has created a helpful website for those who want to better understand what RFRA is and why it is so important to defend. The site, Standforrfra.org, provides details about the law, which demands deference to religious liberty unless there is a “compelling government interest” achieved by the “least restrictive means.” It also provides information about individuals and organizations needing RFRA to help defend their religious liberty rights in court and efforts in states like North Carolina to advance such a law.
