Mike Huckabee, Marsha Blackburn to Discuss Religious Freedom at NRB 2020

NRB | January 23, 2020 | NRB News

The Honorable Gov. Mike Huckabee and Sen. Marsha Blackburn will speak on the topic of religious freedom during the NRB 2020 Christian Media Convention that will be held February 25-28 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Huckabee will lead off the Morning Forum at 9:30 a.m. CT on February 28, followed by Blackburn, who will continue the discussion.

“As an association that works to protect the free speech rights of our members to speak Biblical truth, NRB is a staunch defender of religious freedom,” said Troy Miller, Interim CEO of NRB. “It is critical that we not take our religious freedom for granted – especially today, at a time when this freedom is under constant attack by those seeking to restrict churches, faith-based organizations, and individuals from expressing and living out their sincerely-held religious beliefs.”

“We are honored to have Gov. Huckabee and Sen. Blackburn join us at NRB 2020 to discuss religious freedom and to give us an insider’s perspective as the topic continues to bubble within the media and at all levels of the government,” Miller added.

An ordained Southern Baptist minister, Huckabee is the former governor of Arkansas, a 2008 presidential candidate, and longtime conservative commentator on issues in culture and current events. Huckabee was host of the number-one rated weekend television show Huckabee on the Fox News Channel from 2008 to 2015, as well as host, from 2009 to 2015, of The Huckabee Report, which aired three times daily on nearly 600 radio stations across the nation. A New York Times best-selling author, he hosts the popular weekly talk show Huckabee, which airs exclusively on TBN.

Blackburn is the first woman to represent Tennessee in the United States Senate. She serves on the Armed Services Committee; the Commerce, Science & Transportation Committee; the Veterans Affairs Committee; and the Judiciary Committee. Senate leadership handpicked Blackburn to chair the Judiciary Committee’s “Tech Task Force,” a working group charged with exploring Big Tech’s influence on American culture. Her leadership philosophy is based on her experiences as small businesswoman, author, mother, and grandmother.

Other speakers at NRB’s annual four-day Convention – the largest nationally and internationally recognized event dedicated solely to the field of Christian communications – include Anne Graham Lotz, President of AnGeL Ministries; the Honorable William Barr, Attorney General of the United States; Ravi Zacharias, Chairman of the Board at Ravi Zacharias International Ministries; Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the American Center for Law and Justice; Andrew Brunson, the U.S. pastor who was unjustly imprisoned in Turkey for nearly two years before his release in October 2018; actress and producer Ashley Bratcher, most recognized for her breakout role as the star of the box office hit Unplanned; Janet Parshall, Host of In the Market with Janet Parshall; Allie Stuckey, Host of Relatable; and dozens more.
