Membership Coordinator

Position Description

Purpose:
This position provides administrative, project and executive support for the membership department and serves to facilitate intra-and inter-organizational communication and cooperation; and provides support and customer care to the NRB membership and to prospective members. The position is responsible for managing and researching potential members and serves as the principal point of administrative contact and liaison with members.

Qualifications:
Education, Experience and Training
The ideal candidate will have 1) 5-10 years as an Executive Assistant, 2) a Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field, or related experience in customer service.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability
• Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communications skills, in particular telephone skills; demonstrated critical thinking, project management, and detail management skills; a high level of judgment, flexibility, and stress tolerance; and an energetic, creative, enthusiastic yet professional perspective on membership issues.
•Must possess the ability to meet deadlines, negotiate conflicts, take initiative, prioritize and multitask, assume project responsibility, work well independently, interact comfortably with the association’s membership, and develop a strong ethic of teamwork and motivation with staff and volunteers.
•Exceptional computer and database skills In Microsoft Office products, and experience with a membership management system is preferred, in particular Protech.

Requirements:
The applicant should be a committed, well-established, mature Christian, and an active member of a local Evangelical church.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide project and administrative support to the Director of Membership, keeping the director advised on an ongoing basis of all activities of the office, including schedules, status of projects, meetings, membership recruitment and retention activities, and budget for the office.
• Oversee all aspects of the schedule for the Membership Director, including meetings with members and prospective members.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Membership Department in the office and at Convention, ensuring all activities are completed in a timely manner.
• Develop positive member relationships.
• Provide effective customer service to the membership.
• Collect and input data into the membership database.

General
• To perform other duties, as assigned by the Director of Membership.
• To perform all work with the highest ethical and moral standards, in compliance with all NRB internal policies and procedures.
• To strive to maintain a servant attitude toward co-workers, accepting them as Christ accepted you.
• To strive to fulfill our motto: “Excellence in all things, and all things to God’s glory”.

This position reports directly to the Director of Membership.

We’re hiring! We are looking for a part time Administrative Asst. (20-25 hrs/week).
Our office is located in the South Loop of downtown Chicago, and we are looking for a person of godly character that uses sound biblical principles to perform a variety of administrative, clerical, basic bookkeeping and computer related functions to help maintain the day to day operation of the Unshackled department. To be successful in this position, we are looking for someone who can work independently, go- getter mentality and someone who can productively operate in multiple facets of this position.

The rate of pay is between $15.40 to $16.00/hr based on experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
·         Help handle phone calls coming into the Unshackled office.
·         Help field emails pertaining to ordering of stock items.
·         Coordinate & organize files to their respective locations
·         Prepare check request for Independent contractors who service us.
·         Work with Administrator and Director on “Unshackled!” budget preparation and periodic analysis.
·         Monitor & maintain Radio Station database
·         Assist or perform other projects assigned by the Administrator and Program Director.
·         Prepare Payroll documents and submit for payment.  
·         Additional task and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
·         1 year office assistant experience
·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/PC literate.
