Individual Achievement in International Broadcasting Award: Lemuel Larrosa

Lemuel Larrosa

Lemuel Larrosa has been a radio presenter, producer and speaker for 46 years – 36 of them with Trans World Radio. Based in Uruguay, he has served as TWR’s International Director of Hispanic Ministries since 2000. In this role, Larrosa oversees staff at partner offices in 12 Latin American countries.  

When it comes to on-air endeavors, Larrosa has served as the host/presenter of A Través de la Biblia (Thru the Bible in Spanish) for the last nine years. He has also been a speaker on several other programs aired by TWR in Spanish.  

Larrosa founded Radio Trans Mundial Uruguay in 1981 and served as its National Director for nearly 20 years. He previously served as President of CEBU (the Baptist Convention of Uruguay) and as a representative of CEBU on the board of publisher Casa Bautista de Publicaciones.




International Radio Ministry Award: Radio 4VEH, The Evangelistic Voice of Haiti

Radio 4VEH is The Evangelistic Voice of Haiti, serving God and the Haitian people since 1950.

In a country where many people can’t read, Radio 4VEH is a daily lifeline, serving listeners with Bible reading and teaching; prayer and praise; news, health, and farming advice; community messages and more.

From its broadcasting center outside Cap-Haitien, northern Haiti, Radio 4VEH reaches up to one million listeners, broadcasting on AM, FM and on the Internet in Haitian Creole and French.

Through evangelism and distribution of solar-powered radios fix-tuned to Radio 4VEH, whole communities have been transformed with the Gospel.


International Television Ministry Award: CBN India

CBN India is reaching the nation of India with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through culturally relevant television programs.  Since its first broadcast in 1994, CBN India programming now includes a daily Hindi show, Ek Nayee Zindagi, which airs on Star Plus, the number one national TV channel in India. CBN also produces Nireekshana in Telugu and Samadhan in Bengali, which air weekly on popular regional television channels. All of CBN India’s shows boldly proclaim the Gospel and all their hosts pray with the audience to receive Christ. 


International Innovation Award: CBN Asia

CBN Asia creatively maximizes electronic media to proclaim the Gospel and to interact with the audience. Those who pray with the hosts during the show are encouraged to get in touch with its Prayer Center through its telephone lines, mobile numbers, toll-free lines and Skype ID.

CBN Asia’s website has a Media Center where visitors can watch a webcast of the show, browse TV segments that interest them and chat with the Prayer Center. CBN Asia also maximizes its Facebook page to promote its media products, to run contests, and to post relevant TV segments and entire shows.


International Strategic Partnership Award: Peter Darg, CBN Europe

Peter Darg, CBN Europe

London-born Peter Darg is a broadcaster who has served the Lord for nearly four decades in various areas of the world, including the U.S., the Middle East, Africa, and now Europe, where he serves as European Director of the Christian Broadcasting Network. As the Regional Director for CBN Europe, Darg has forged strategic partnerships with other European media ministries for the daily broadcasting of evangelistic television programs in Europe. He previously established CBN's news bureau in Jerusalem in 1982. 

With his wife Christine, Darg is also involved in a ministry to Jews and Arabs in Jerusalem and serves as a trustee of the Revelation TV Foundation in the U.K./Spain. Darg is an elder in the Presbyterian Church and an ordained minister, serving each year overseas along with his wife in a number of large Gospel festivals.
