Troy A. Miller, NRB president & CEO, spoke with Felice Friedson on The Media Line about Charlie Kirk’s assassination, rising antisemitism, support for Israel in the church, and the fight to keep AM radio in all newly manufactured vehicles in the U.S.
“[AM radio is] important for all of us who are consumers of free over the-air free media,” Miller said. “At the end of the day … it’s not about technology. It’s not about interference. It’s not about electric vehicles. It’s about who controls the access to information for the consumers.”
On the topic of the second anniversary of the October 7 attacks, Miller said: “The Christian community has never forgotten the human factor of all of this. … We’re continuing to pray for that on a daily basis. … Overwhelmingly, the Christian community is holding in support of Israel.”

On “Faith Chats” with Andrew Brunet, Miller discussed NRB’s efforts to foster unity among diverse Christian communicators, the future of Christian media and the impacts of censorship.
“The main thing for us is keeping us all focused on…the overall mission of evangelism,” Miller said, “of getting the Gospel to a lost nation, a lost culture around the world, and discipling people.”
Miller also explained the importance of the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, saying: “Corporate America is still very hostile toward the Christian message. … I think it’s so critical now because we live in an age where we’re seeing more and more gatekeepers out there.”

Miller joined Coach Kerri Brinkoeter, alongside co-hosts Cathy Endebrock and Marlene McMichael, on LoveTalk Network to discuss NRB’s mission to expand the reach of Christian media in a world that desperately needs the hope of Jesus.
“Young men are going to church in greater numbers. Bible sales are up,” Miller said. “There was a recent study that came out in the last few days that shows that the church itself…has had an uptick.”
Miller continued: “No time in human history has ever had the communications capabilities that we have today. … And so, to be a communicator, to be in that kind of environment, it’s not a time for us to shy away from these told that God has given us, it’s a time for us to really lean in.”

On “The Voice of Reason” podcast with Andy Hooser, Miller discussed the battle for free speech as well as the negative mainstream media environment.
“For years from the left, all we heard was tolerance,” Miller said. “Then the left perceived…that the winds of change had shifted in their direction; that they were now the majority and immediately threw the word tolerance out of the window to the word, ‘obey.’”
