Troy A. Miller, NRB president & CEO, did a series of interviews covering NRB’s 2025 study with the Barna Group on the state of Christian media in the United States.

On Family Research Council’s “Washington Watch” with Tony Perkins, Miller discussed the insights.

“So much of the mainstream media, whether it’s news or entertainment, is just really full of hate and despair,” Miller said. “What we see here…in such big numbers, is two-thirds of the country are looking to find hope and encouragement. … They’re looking for absolute truth. Christian media is providing those things.”

Miller also joined Dr. Tim Clinton on the Real America’s Voice show “Sunday the Road Forward.” Miller shared how 60% of Americans engage with Christian media, contrasting its 66% trust rating with the decline of trust in secular media and emphasizing the hunger for objective truth in today’s digital landscape.

“People are looking for encouragement in their life, and they’re finding it in Christian media,” Miller said. “On top of that, they’re looking for things that will increase their love for God and for people.”

Miller also discussed this research with Stacy Washington on her Salem News show.

“They’re tuning in at rates that far exceed any other media,” Miller said. “They want to know how to love God better and how to be a better Christian. They’re not just tuning in; they’re tuning in so that it changes their lives.”

On Kinship Radio, Miller spoke with Jennifer Hayden Stokes about whether Christian media is really making a difference in the culture today.

“I think the average listener should understand that there’s a lot of stereotypes about Christian media,” Miller said, “but Christian media is fulfilling a huge need in our society.”

On KXEL News, Miller spoke with Jeff Stein, emphasizing why audiences are gravitating toward Christian media.

“Two thirds of the general population view Christian media as valuable and trustworthy,” Miller said. “People are finding that they’re getting the truth and that they trust what they hear on Christian media. … It’s not a therapeutic Christianity that they’re looking for. They’re looking for a Christianity that’s going to change and affect their lives.”
