On Inauguration Day, January 20, Troy A. Miller, president & CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) joined Chris Stigall on his Salem News show to talk about the brief ban of TikTokand to reflect on President Donald Trump’s visit to the 2024 NRB Convention in February.

“He [President Trump] understands our Christian community,” Miller said. “He clearly cares about religious freedom. He was up to date; he understood the issues. It was, in our opinion, his defining speech to set the policy and direction of his administration when it comes to both broadcasting and media as well as the Christian community.”

Miller also spoke with Todd Starnes on his show about some of the first actions taken by the Trump Administration on day one as well as what NRB hopes to see in the administration when it comes to faith and free expression.

“He has appointed a number of very strong Christians to very key positions,” Miller said.

“When he spoke as a candidate last year at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in February,” Miller continued, “He laid out his support for religious communicators and religious broadcasters even beyond radio. But AM radio was a key promise that he made, and we think that this Congress is going to take that on very soon, and we’re going to see the AM radio protectionscodified into law.”
