Troy A. Miller spoke with Felice Friedson of The Media Line about the NRB Convention, the decline of journalistic integrity, and growing unity between Christians and Jews.
“At NRB we’ve worked specifically over the last several years to build more unity in the body of Christ…and to expand that…to our Jewish brothers and sisters,” Miller said.
Miller continued: “Today most of our mainstream news media and legacy media—they’re simply propaganda houses. …We need to get a free press that’s uninfluenced and unadultered from the world around it.”

Christian Daily International covered Miller’s opening address at the NRB 2026 International Christian Media Convention in Nashville last week.
“We have doctrine being affirmed while daily obedience is being minimalized,” Miller said. “In other words, we have a lot of fans in the stands and very few players on the field. … This is the assignment of Christian communicators—not to merely create content, but to call the church to obedient public, visible faith.”
Miller continued: “Our faith is not a partisan platform, nor is it meant to be confined to the four walls of our churches or our homes. It is a comprehensive worldview to be lived out. … We have a great responsibility as Christian communicators to foster this growth and to foster this movement. That’s what God has called us to do.”

Miller spoke with Bruce Oliver of “Talks for Christ” about how Christian communicators can remain faithful while reaching diverse audiences.
“The Gospel matters so deeply today,” Miller said. “We have governmental structures that are not only oppressive, but they are just flat out evil in various places in the world. There’s no world system that can answer for the brokenness of humanity. The only answer for that message is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. … A lot of our members’ ministries reach around the world. … It’s so important for us as Christians to be in the public sector with that message.”

Miller spoke with Carrie Abbott on her show about the vibrant energy and growth at the NRB Convention, adapting to rapid changes in technology without leaving older generations behind, the necessity of Christian engagement in a competing culture, and NRB’s new church-based Veterans Ministry Initiative.
Reflecting on the struggles of former service members, Miller said: “We have somewhat of a crisis in our veterans community. … We’d like to see every church across this country launch a veterans ministry in their communities to reach veterans with the Gospel of Christ and with the community of church.”
Urging communicators to be bold, Miller said, “There are a bunch of competing ideas, ideologies, worldviews [in culture,] … and if we’re not in there…then the vacuum is going to get filled by somebody else. … There really is a call in this country to be courageous, to speak up and not to worry about populism.”

On FlashPoint, Miller spoke with Gene Bailey about the reputation of Christian media.
“We did a survey with Barna back at the first of the year and find out that 66 percent of Americans find shows like this, Christian media, trustworthy and valuable,” Miller said. “That’s a rejection of mainstream media. And I think we’re seeing that rejection across the board of all these lies that the left of the progressives are putting out there. They’re falling apart.”
