NRB recently helped convene a focused panel at the Museum of the Bible, alongside key leaders and NRB members, including Carrie Sheffield, The Washington Times, Virginia Prodan, and Cheryl Chumley. The event put a spotlight on the worsening conditions facing believers around the world, challenging Christian communicators to use every available platform to tell the truth.
Troy A. Miller, NRB president & CEO, gave opening remarks and an introductory prayer.

“The persecuted church … proclaims the gospel with a clarity and courage that should humble us and stir us,” Miller said. “But their courage also exposes something we must confront at home. One of the greatest problems is not just cultural hostility—it is apathetic, lukewarm pulpits. … Culture has not collapsed by accident. … In many American congregations, we see more self-censorship than state censorship. Pastors avoid the very issues Scripture addresses directly. They fear being counter-cultural more than they fear compromising God’s Word.”

Miller spoke with John Jessup on CBN News’ “Faith Nation” about the anti-Christian bias in mainstream media reporting and the global persecution facing over 380 million Christians.
“There’s almost no continent you can look at right now where there isn’t heavy Christian persecution going on,” Miller said, explaining that “mainstream media really has this progressive left ideology” that views Christianity as “a problem in the world.”

He also spoke with Jeff Stein of 1540 KXEL about the general mission and vision of NRB.
“A lot of our freedoms that we take for granted have been under attack,” Miller said “And we need to be vigilant and active in this fight today. We have to keep an eye on what’s going on.”
Troy A. Miller spoke with Perry Atkinson on Focus Today about the upcoming NRB 2026 Convention, the legislative battle with AM radio, and the spiritual implications of rising anti-Semitism and Christian persecution.
“Persecution does give a clarity and a waking up… to the church and to the purpose and the meaning of the Gospel,” Miller said. “Young men…are flocking towards religious institutions… because they’re waking up to the fact that the culture has lied to them… [and] they’re seeking the real truth.”
Miller continued: “As Christians, we still face a lot of… roadblocks in corporate America… cancel culture… [and] censorship. It’s a spiritual battle against God’s people, the Jews first… and then Christians.”

Miller also discussed the topic with Bob Frantz on Salem News Channel, focusing on his recent op-ed with the Daily Caller about how the mainstream media neglects to cover the issue.
“I think the media has an apathy toward Christianity,” Miller said. “It’s a human rights crisis that’s not being reported at all. … Christianity is the most dangerous religion to be held around the world.”

Miller also discussed the AM for Every Vehicle Act: “This battle is not about whether or not AM radio is antiquated. This is a battle about who is going to control the information in the cars. … Automakers want complete control of the information that’s received in the car.”

Miller also discussed the issue on The Jeff Katz Show, with FM radio being dropped from some Tesla models.
“As we’ve said all along, this is not about closing out an aging technology,” Miller said. “This is all about the control of the dash, and sure enough, Tesla has announced removing FM radio.”

On WAVA’s The Drive Home, Miller spoke with Greg Seltz about what NRB is doing to support veterans in our nation through its Veterans Ministry Initiative, arguing that the church is uniquely positioned to care for veterans.
“Medicating people back to health doesn’t give people a sense of purpose that they can get from pastoral counseling in a church,” Miller said. “Loneliness is one of the top feelings that veterans report. … We can wrap our arms around people, love them, and listen to them. Veterans love to talk, open up, and listen to other veterans.”

Miller spoke with Pastor Duke White Jr. on GoodVue Network about the role of Christian media in our culture today.
“As the church, we have to be the leaders in culture,” Miller said. “Today’s media is the number one influencer that’s out there. More kids are influenced by the media that they engage with, whether its entertainment media, YouTube, or wherever it is, we have to get out there to engage the culture where the culture is at. That’s the history of the church.”

Miller joined Justin Barclay on his WOOD Radio to discuss New York’s recent election, antisemitism, and NRB’s launch of the Veteran’s Ministry Initiative.
“We are just excited to love on the people who protect our freedom,” Miller said.
