Troy A. Miller, President and CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), joined Dr. Sebastian Gorka on his show “America First” to talk about Miller’s recent op-ed featured in the Daily Caller, focusing their discussion on the importance of evangelical turnout in election season.

“Christians have been villainized recently for getting involved in politics,” Miller said, “and [became] afraid to talk about politics.”

“Look around you and ask yourself this question,” Miller continued, addressing evangelical voters. “Do you really think that the culture is going in the right direction? And do you really think that the culture is going parallel to the faith that you believe in? … God has given you the opportunity to change that.”

Miller spoke with Craig DeRoche, CEO of Family Policy Alliance Foundation, to talk about the important role every American believer has in casting a vote in elections.

“About 30 million evangelical Christians—folks that attend church on a regular basis—are not participating in the democratic process of election in this country,” Miller said. “Christians have stepped out of leadership in the culture. … Christians are one of the largest voting bloc groups, but they could be even larger if more people got involved.”

Miller recently joined Stacy Washington on her radio show “Stacy on the Right” to discuss evangelical voter participation and the repercussions that result from their lack of involvement.

“You can’t open any of the New Testament epistles and not understand that we are called to be salt and light in the world,” Miller said. “God gave us this great country to decide who’s going to make the policies, who’s going to govern, how it’s going to be governed, and what’s going to be important to people. Christians don’t have any excuses.”
