NRB | February 20, 2020 | NRB News

If you still haven’t registered for NRB 2020, it’s not too late!

You can still register on site starting from 8 a.m. on Monday, February 24, and throughout the week of the Convention. The registration area will be located in the Delta BCD Lobby of the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. You can also register online 24-7 at nrbconvention.org.

If you’re still on the fence about attending, take a look at some of the top reasons to attend here, here, here, and here.

In short, you will get to do the following (and more!):

NETWORK

With dozens of exhibitors and thousands of participants, the Convention provides attendees with the opportunity to directly meet and speak with representatives of organizations, broadcasters, and businesses.

There will be several industry-specific sessions, workshops, and a Learning Arena, where you’ll hear from leaders in your field and rub elbows with them and other like-minded media and ministry professionals.

There will also be various organizations hosting special events or welcoming attendees in designated spaces throughout the Convention Center.

You might even run into members of the press as you pass by the Convention Press Center!

LEARN

There will be more than 80 speakers at the upcoming 2020 Convention in Nashville who will lead various sessions covering everything from high-level topics to nitty-gritty “how-to” tips.

Speakers this year will be ministry leaders including Anne Graham Lotz and Andrew Brunson; government officials including U.S. Attorney General William Barr, U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, and Sen. Marsha Blackburn; policy experts including Jay Sekulow and Gov. Mike Huckabee; Hollywood professionals including Kevin Sorbo and Ashley Bratcher; radio/podcast hosts including Allie Stuckey and Carol Miller Swain; and many more.

And among the topics addressed at the various workshops and talks will be “A 2020 Vision for Christian Radio,” “Wisdom for Effective Communication,” “The Future of Christian Film,” “Critical Insights for Leading Creative People,” “Podcasting,” “Leadership in a Digital Age,” “Creating the Right Content for the Right Audience,” “Demystifying Facebook Audiences,” “How to Make an Internal/External Digital Media Communication Plan,” “Subject Lines: 5 Mental Levers that Anyone Can Use to Get More Opens and Donations,” “How the New Emerging Broadcast Standard Impacts Christian TV,” “Practical Principles for Dealing with Negative Backlash,” and more.

SHOWCASE

Also at NRB 2020, you can increase your exposure significantly by taking advantage of all the opportunities that could be available to you.

If, for example, you have content you want to get out, you’ll be able to connect directly with broadcasting stations and networks, publishers, and companies that specialize in distribution, licensing, consulting, PR, marketing, and syndication.

If you have a screenplay, book, or complete media project, you can get the chance to pitch them one-on-one, face-to-face with a distribution company or two at the NRB Pitch-a-thon.

Those with TV programs can enter them in NRB’s TV Showcase to get noticed by network program directors and station managers.

Those looking for their next employer can post their resume on the Job Board.

And those looking to be interviewed by the press will have many to choose from at NRB 2020.

We could go on and on with everything that takes place during Convention, but you really need to come see for yourself.

So, if you haven’t made plans to join us, do so now. And if you are planning to join us, tell a friend and look forward to an amazing time at NRB 2020!
