The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) commemorates the life and legacy of Cathryn (Cathy) Hoover Allen. A respected leader in Christian ministry, Cathy entered the presence of the Lord on November 14, 2025.
Cathy was a dedicated member of the NRB leadership, serving faithfully on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. Her work reflected a commitment to integrity and excellence within the Christian broadcasting community.
Before entering ministry, Cathy worked in the banking industry, a family business, and as a flight attendant for Delta Air Lines. She eventually transitioned to Love Worth Finding Ministries, where she provided leadership as the CEO until her retirement in 2018. In addition to her service with NRB, she offered her guidance to other organizations, including Life Choices of Memphis and the St. Mary’s Episcopal School Board of Trustees.
Those who knew Cathy remember her as a woman of quiet strength, discernment, and kindness. She was deeply devoted to studying Scripture and was known as an encourager who put others at ease with her smile.
On December 12, we celebrate her heavenly birthday, honoring the memory of a woman who is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Cathy is survived by Joe Allen, her husband of 41 years. To read her official obituary, click here.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Love Worth Finding Ministries or the National Alzheimer’s Foundation.
