ICEJ Sponsors Virtual Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem

Over the coming week, thousands of Christians from over 110 countries will connect via computers and mobile devices to take part in the annual Feast of Tabernacles celebration in Jerusalem, sponsored by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ).

ICEJ has been a NRB member since 2014. Established in 1980 in recognition of the biblical significance of all of Jerusalem and its unique connection with the Jewish people, the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem represents millions of Christians, churches, and denominations to the nation and people of Israel.

The Feast of Tabernacles virtual event will take place Sept. 20-27 and features daily streamed events from locations throughout Israel from Mount Zion to Mount Carmel, opportunities to participate in worship and prayer, over 100 on-demand seminars, and virtual tours of biblical sites in Israel.

The global Christian community is invited to connect virtually with the Feast throughout the week and learn more about the nation of Israel, her people and her history, and the central role she plays in God’s redemptive purposes for the world. Furthermore, participants will enjoy on-demand seminars, teachings, and worship sessions from international and local guest speakers and worship leaders for the next three months or more depending on your registration package. Live or on-demand registration is open starting at $50.

“We want this year’s Feast of Tabernacles event to be the largest show of solidarity with Israel ever! I particularly appeal to American friends of Israel to participate,” Dr. Susan Michael, USA Director of ICEJ, said. “Many Israelis are concerned about weakening support within the United States. So we need to demonstrate to them the strong support for Israel within our country. At the roll call of the nations at this year’s Feast, we want a strong showing of Americans. Please register today and be counted!”

For over 40 years, Christians have come to Jerusalem each year to stand with Israel during this fall feast in anticipation of the fulfillment of the words spoken by Zechariah that one day the nations would come to Jerusalem and celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. The ICEJ’s celebration of the Feast became the largest and most popular annual tourist event in Israel, which was moved to a virtual platform last year due to pandemic restrictions, and the ICEJ welcomed over 7,000 virtual pilgrims to Jerusalem during the 2020 Feast of Tabernacles.

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem was established during the very first Christian celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles in September 1980, at a time when the last thirteen national embassies had just left Jerusalem for Tel Aviv. In response, over 1,000 Christians from around 40 nations attending that first Feast gathering decided to open the International Christian Embassy in Jerusalem as an act of comfort and solidarity with the 3000 year old Jewish claim and connection to this city. The ICEJ has since grown into the world’s largest Christian Zionist ministry, with branch offices in over 90 nations and reaching over 170 nations worldwide.
